Lincoln Junior High

[October 30, 2007]  PETERSBURG -- The Lincoln Junior High speech team competed at the IESA State Speech Contest at Petersburg on Friday. With 31 entries, the team earned 27 first-place ratings and four second-place ratings.

The following events were among those receiving the Judge's Choice Award for outstanding performances:

  • Small group:

    • Adrienne Alley, Brittney Bone and Shelby Voyles performing "Camp Oomygosha"

  • Duets:

    • Elizabeth Jaegle and Katie Thomas, performing "It's a Dog's Life"

    • Elizabeth Dye and Tegan Follis, performing "A Fine Line"

The following events received first-place medals:

  • Solos:

    • Edraniel Tookes

    • Samuel Filbeck

  • Duets:

    • Gabrielle Brumfield, Rebecca Stein

    • Elizabeth Dye, Tegan Follis

    • Katherine Hepler, Amy Knutilla

    • Elizabeth Jaegle, Katie Thomas

    • Jackie Martincic, Haley Welch

  • Small groups:

    • Adrienne Alley, Brittney Bone and Shelby Voyles

    • Jarrod Grover, David Hepler, Cole Jurgens, Wyatt Phillis and Dalton Releford.
