[October 31, 2007]  Lincoln Police Department officers were present at Lincoln Community High School Wednesday morning in regard to alleged inappropriate comments made by a student on Tuesday. Numerous rumors surfaced Tuesday night as a result of those comments.

The student involved was located and interviewed Tuesday night, along with other witnesses. The state's attorney's office was contacted and the results of those interviews will be forwarded to his office.

No arrests were made, but school officials and the Lincoln Police Department agreed that it is important to let the students, staff and parents know that any such comments are taken seriously for everyone's safety.

The student involved was not present at the school Wednesday morning, and the matter will be handled administratively by the school.
