 Halen Sampson started for the Trojans and was helped out early on by
the Trojans squeezing in two runs in the second inning, but the
Spartans came back to take a 5-3 lead. Will Conrady took the hill
for the Trojans in the sixth and gave up no runs. To start the top
of the seventh, the Trojans had a couple walks. Then Ryan Montcalm
hit a triple to tie the game at 5-5, and Mason Madigan had an
infield single to put the Trojans ahead 6-5. Ryan Montcalm came in
to close the game out as the Trojans beat Olympia 6-5.Leading
hitters for the Trojans were Ryan Montcalm 2-for-4 with a triple and
two RBIs; Austin Kirby 3-for-3 with three doubles, a walk and an
RBI; and Mason Madigan 4-for-4 with four singles and two RBIs.
The next game for the Trojans is on Thursday at home versus
Williamsville.
