[September 05, 2007]  MINIER -- The Lincoln Trojans went to Minier to face the Olympia Spartans on Tuesday.

Halen Sampson started for the Trojans and was helped out early on by the Trojans squeezing in two runs in the second inning, but the Spartans came back to take a 5-3 lead. Will Conrady took the hill for the Trojans in the sixth and gave up no runs. To start the top of the seventh, the Trojans had a couple walks. Then Ryan Montcalm hit a triple to tie the game at 5-5, and Mason Madigan had an infield single to put the Trojans ahead 6-5. Ryan Montcalm came in to close the game out as the Trojans beat Olympia 6-5.

Leading hitters for the Trojans were Ryan Montcalm 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs; Austin Kirby 3-for-3 with three doubles, a walk and an RBI; and Mason Madigan 4-for-4 with four singles and two RBIs.

The next game for the Trojans is on Thursday at home versus Williamsville.
