Police seek to identify suspected homicide victim found near Monmouth on Sunday           Send a link to a friend

[September 07, 2007]  MACOMB -- The Illinois State Police, Warren County sheriff's office and the Warren County coroner are investigating the suspected homicide of an unknown black male, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, 160-180 pounds, brown eyes, mustache with goatee, 40s, wearing gray Dockers-style pants, a FILA white pullover shirt and white tennis shoes.

The victim was found at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday approximately seven miles east of Monmouth, near U.S. Route 34 and Cameron Road, by a passing motorist in Warren County.

Investigators are asking anyone with information concerning the possible identity of this victim to contact the Illinois State Police at 309-837-5833, the Warren County sheriff's office at 309-734-8506, Warren County Crime Stoppers at 309-734-9363 or their local law enforcement agency.
