Benefit for Vienna Purdue on Thursday at Hartem High School          Send a link to a friend

[September 14, 2007]  HARTSBURG -- Coach Jennifer Hayes and the volleyball teams from Hartem High School and Junior High will sponsor a benefit dinner for Vienna Purdue, a 2007 H-E graduate and former volleyball player, on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 4 to 6:30 p.m., in the Hartsburg-Emden High School cafeteria. The meal will be prior to the volleyball matches between Hartem and Mount Pulaski. The public is invited to attend.

Donations will be accepted for the dinner, which will feature creamed chicken on biscuit, green beans, applesauce, homemade dessert and beverage. Carryouts will be available.

The Logan County Chapter of Thrivent Financial will match the proceeds from the dinner, which will help offset Vienna's expenses as she recovers from surgery and cancer diagnosis.
