Elkhart Fall Festival on Route 66
[September 17, 2007]
ELKHART -- Come and enjoy a day in the country
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in picturesque Elkhart, located on
historic U.S. Route 66, just off Interstate 55 at Exit 115.
Sponsored by the village of Elkhart, the annual Elkhart Fall
Festival will be fun for the whole family. An open-air flea and
craft market, food stalls, fun activities for kids, an antique
tractor show, a Model A vintage car show, and a produce market will
all be taking place downtown.

Don't miss out on the great music
and live entertainment throughout the day, as well as the special
display of Native American artifacts. Local authority Bill Bryson
will be on hand to answer any questions regarding the display, and
the public is invited to bring in their own finds for identification
and dating at no charge. Other activities in the afternoon include
a 50-50 raffle, with tickets $5 each. Don't worry if you can't be
there for the drawing; the winner need not be present to win.
All the downtown shops and restaurants will be open all day, and
there will be a few surprises, so come and join in the fun!
