[September 20, 2007]  A new 30-minute show featuring educational news is scheduled to start Sunday at Lincoln College radio station WLNX-FM 88.9.

The new 30-minute program, called "Faculty Forum," will air Sundays at 11 a.m. and will be hosted by John Malone, Lincoln College assistant professor and WLNX general manager. "Faculty Forum" will feature interviews with members of the college's faculty and focus on academic programs and happenings at the college. The first guest on the program will be Tina Nutt, associate professor and division chair of the Behavioral and Social Science Department, who will discuss Lincoln College's community tutoring program.

Malone hopes the new program will help keep the community informed. "This is just the first step in our vision to provide compelling and informative programming to the Lincoln community," he said. "We plan to utilize time periods, especially on the weekend, to produce even more local information programming and import top-notch national educational programs."

Other program changes at WLNX include "Music and the Spoken Word," featuring the sounds of the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir, which will air Sundays at 10 a.m., and "The Health Show," a 30-minute program on trends in the world of health, at 10:30 a.m. "The Best of Our Knowledge," a program spotlighting the latest developments in education, will follow "Faculty Forum" on Sundays at 11:30 a.m.

A two-minute program called "Report to Consumers," produced by the publishers of Consumer Reports magazine, will air Monday through Friday at 8:20 a.m. and 2:20 p.m.
