Wheat jumps on Chicago Board of Trade   Send a link to a friend

[September 28, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Wheat, corn and soybean prices surged Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery jumped 15.75 cents to settle at $9.33 a bushel; December corn rose 11.75 cents to $3.8675 a bushel; December oats rose 4.25 cents to $2.8575 a bushel; November soybeans added 18.25 cents to $10.09 a bushel.

Beef futures declined, while pork futures finished mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle fell 0.35 cent to 96.90 cents a pound; October feeder cattle fell 0.42 cent to $1.1550 a pound; October lean hogs dropped 1.40 cent to 58.90 cents a pound; February pork bellies rose 0.37 cent to 89.72 cents a pound.
