Wheat prices rise to daily limit          Send a link to a friend

[September 06, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Wheat prices rose to the daily trading limit Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery advanced 30 cents to $8.355 a bushel, the maximum daily price swing; December corn fell 7.5 cents to $3.4575 a bushel; December oats closed flat at $2.625 a bushel; November soybeans fell 4.5 cents to $9.03 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle fell 0.57 cent to 97.05 cents a pound; September feeder cattle dropped 0.15 cent to $1.189 a pound; October lean hogs fell 1.17 cents to 65.9 cents a pound; February pork bellies lost 1.65 cents to 88.77 cents a pound.
