[September 06, 2007]  (AP) A low pressure system moving through the Rockies was expected to produce showers and some thunderstorms Thursday to a region extending from Nebraska through the Dakotas and into Minnesota.

Rain was also forecast for the Mississippi Valley.

Another day of dry weather was expected throughout the eastern seaboard. Clear skies were forecast for most of the West Coast.

Temperatures in the lower 48 states Wednesday ranged from a low of 31 degrees at Saranac Lake, N.Y., to a high of 111 degrees at Bullhead City, Ariz.
