Agriculture Futures Fall on CBOT

[April 08, 2008]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures closed lower Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery fell 53 cents to $9.2125 a bushel; May corn dropped 8 cents to $5.90 a bushel; May oats lost 19 cents to $3.665 a bushel; May soybeans declined 22 cents to $12.55 a bushel.

Beef futures traded mixed and pork futures traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle fell 0.03 cent to 87.87 cents a pound; April feeder cattle gained 0.40 cent to 99 cents a pound; April lean hogs rose 0.38 cent to 58.90 cents a pound; May pork bellies added 0.85 cent to 72.95 cents a pound.
