[April 08, 2008]  Low pressure will track into central Illinois later Tuesday afternoon, bringing the threat for scattered severe thunderstorms to parts of the area. Areas along and east of the low track and warm front -- or roughly from Springfield to Danville and south -- have the higher probabilities of seeing damaging winds, large hail and possibly an isolated tornado. The primary time frame for severe weather Tuesday will be from 2 to 9 p.m.

An even stronger storm system will move into the area on Thursday, producing heavy rainfall and the threat for additional severe weather.
