Agriculture Futures Mostly Rise on CBOT

[April 15, 2008]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures mostly traded higher Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery fell 0.5 cent to $8.96 a bushel; May corn added 7.5 cents to $5.9175 a bushel; May oats rose 1 cent to $3.86 a bushel; May soybeans jumped 40 cents to $13.725 a bushel.

Beef futures traded higher and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle rose 0.45 cent to 89.15 cents a pound; April feeder cattle gained 0.05 cent to 99.55 cents a pound; April lean hogs fell 0.18 cent to 58.77 cents a pound; May pork bellies rose 3 cents to 77.37 cents a pound.
