[April 16, 2008]  The Preachers of LCC did a lot of hitting and scoring Tuesday but were unable to overcome Eureka College, as they dropped a doubleheader 16-15 and 21-11.

The Preachers are now 1-13 for the year, having lost five games by two runs or less.

In the first game, Jay Hild had a home run, Derek Rucker had three hits, Kade Vincent had three hits and an RBI, Richard Weese had two hits and three RBIs, and Christian Jorgensen had two hits.

In the second game, Dan Maricle had two hits, including a home run, along with five RBIs. Jorgensen had two hits.
