Agriculture futures mostly fall on CBOT; livestock mostly up

[April 17, 2008]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures mostly traded lower Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery rose 28.75 cents to $9.245 a bushel; May corn fell 2.5 cents to $6.035 a bushel; May oats lost 6.5 cents to $3.865 a bushel; May soybeans dropped 35.25 cents to $13.4475 a bushel.

Beef futures traded higher and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle rose 0.58 cent to 90.05 cents a pound; April cattle added 0.25 cent to $1.004 a pound; May lean hogs gained 0.07 cent to 71.72 cents a pound; May pork bellies slipped 1.8 cents to 78.15 cents a pound.
