[April 18, 2008]  The Railsplitter Antique Auto Club is starting its annual cruise-in events on Saturday. This is a wonderful opportunity for auto enthusiasts to share their beautiful cars with the public. The first cruise-in will be at AutoZone from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The normal cruise-ins, held on the square in downtown Lincoln from 5 to 9 p.m., start on April 26. The cruise-ins will continue through September, on the fourth Saturday of each month.

The club also hosts several special events throughout the year, including a classic car display at The Mill during the Logan County Route 66 Garage Sale on June 14. There will also be a Super Cruise for St. Jude's Charities on June 28, a Heritage Days Cruise-In on July 5, and an Art & Balloon Festival Cruise-In on Aug. 24, all on the square in downtown Lincoln.

Finally, the Railsplitter Antique Auto Club will have its second annual car show at The Mill on Oct. 11 as a fundraising event for the Route 66 Heritage Foundation of Logan County.

The Railsplitter Antique Auto Club was chartered in 1966 and has its headquarters in Lincoln. The approximately 87 members range in age from 17 to 92, showing that the love of classic cars knows no limits. Cars owned by the members span several decades, from the 1920s to the 1980s.

All of these events are open, and free, to the public. For more information, and registration, please call 217-732-3519.
