[April 24, 2008]  The Kiwanis Club of Lincoln announces scholarship opportunities for Logan County high school seniors planning to attend either Lincoln College or Lincoln Christian College. The annual scholarships are nonrenewable $1,000 awards. One scholarship will be awarded for attendance at each school.

Selection is based on community activities, honors and awards, academic record, written essay, employment history, and two letters of recommendation. Applications are then scored and winners are selected by a committee composed of Lincoln Kiwanians.

Applications are available now at the LCHS guidance office and need to be submitted by May 12 to Lincoln Kiwanis Club, Attn: Dan Row, P.O. Box 202, Lincoln, IL 62656.

Kiwanis of Lincoln is one of over 8,000 clubs worldwide that work to change the world through service to children and their local communities.
