[April 24, 2008]  Community Action recently announced its Employee of the Quarter. Lyndall Peas of Lincoln was awarded the honor for the work she does as a home care aide for the homemaker program that operated in Logan County.

"She exemplifies what Community Action is all about," said Mel Urbanowicz, senior programs assistant. "She cares about her customers and provides them with a high-quality service to improve the quality of their lives. She is knowledgeable of the programs available throughout our agency and makes sure that they are signed up for any services they need. In just the past few months, she has been responsible for helping customers receive carpet cleaning, a lift chair, a bed with new box springs and mattress, a wheelchair, and a shower chair. She never stops looking for ways to better the quality of life for our customers."

Lyndall was presented with a plaque and $50 gift card by Angela Stoltzenburg, executive director; Steve Lobb, governing board president; and Urbanowicz.

Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois, formerly CIEDC, is a not-for-profit agency serving the low-income and senior populations of six counties in central Illinois. For more information, visit www.capcil.org.
