[August 06, 2008]  (AP)  Central Texas was to continue seeing stormy weather on Wednesday as Tropical Storm Edouard was predicted to deteriorate into a tropical depression. Heavy rainfall, strong winds and scattered thunderstorms were all expected. The Southern Plains was to remain hot and humid and to have problems with flooding.

Auto RepairIn the north, the Upper Great Lakes was to see drier conditions.

In the Northeast, scattered thunderstorms were expected in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Scattered showers were expected from the Ohio Valley into the Central Plains, as well as the Middle Atlantic region.

In the West, cloudy and wet conditions were expected in the Intermountain West.

The Pacific Northwest was to experience clear and dry conditions, with pockets of rainfall. The Southwest was to continue seeing monsoon like conditions, with flooding a concern.

Temperatures in the Lower 48 states on Tuesday ranged from a low of 31 degrees at Wisdom, Mont., to a high of 119 degrees at Death Valley, Calif.
