In the first game, Heyworth banged out 14 hits against four
different WL-B pitchers in a 20-2 win. Dane Eimer had a single and a
double, while Jordan Yarcho had a single and an RBI. Yarcho (0-1)
took the loss on the mound. In the second game, Brock Byrge (1-0)
scattered three hits over three-plus innings, striking out eight
while walking only two to get the win as WL-B prevailed 14-11. The
bats came alive for WL-B. Yarcho was 3-for-3 with three runs scored
and five RBIs. Brayden Curry had a hit and three runs scored. Byrge
had two hits, two runs scored and two RBIs. Levi Curry had a hit,
three runs scored and two RBIs. Kyle Fitzpatrick doubled and had two
RBIs. Dalton Presswood singled and had an RBI. Brycen Hicks reached
base safely in all three of his at-bats and scored two runs.
The Wolverines host Athens on Monday at 4 p.m.
