[August 19, 2008]  It is the goal of Lincoln Community High School to sponsor athletic events and activities that are enjoyable and safe for all in attendance.

Therefore, beginning with the first home football game of the 2008 season on Aug. 29, LCHS will enforce the following Board of Education policy regarding attendance at football games:

Section 800 Policy 8:40 - Spectator Conduct at School Events

A responsible adult must accompany all students who have not yet entered high school. This adult will assist LCHS staff to ensure a safe environment at football games by monitoring their elementary and junior high students at all times.

This simply means that all students in grades K-8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult before they will be allowed to enter the game at the ticket booth.

Examples of responsible adults include, but aren't limited to, parents, grandparents, a friend's parents, older siblings who have graduated from high school, aunts and uncles.

Thank you for your cooperation with the new attendance policy. Please contact the LCHS activities director, Sam Knox, with any questions. Phone 732-4131, ext. 250; sknox@lchs.k12.il.us.
