[August 20, 2008]  YMCA fall soccer -- The YMCA will accept registrations for the Y Youth Soccer program until Aug. 25. Forms received after Aug. 25 will require a $10 fee increase. This program is for all children age 4 through eighth grade. Each team practices once a week, with games played on Saturday mornings at the Lincoln Developmental Center soccer fields.

YMCA Biking Blast -- The Y is hosting a bike event on Sept. 6 for families, novices and the cycling enthusiast. The Y will provide a five-mile course for families and novices. There will also be a 30-mile course for the advanced cyclist. Come out and join the riders for fun and fitness.

Y Run -- The YMCA will host the third annual Y Run on Sept. 27. The 5K run and one-mile fun run-walk will begin on the North Hamilton Street side of the Logan County Safety Complex. The route for this fun event is a flat course, straight out and back. Police will lead the runners through town. All proceeds from the Y Run are put toward the YMCA Scholarship Fund, which ensures that no family is turned away from Y programming due financial circumstances. The event is sponsored by Elkhart Grain and Guzzardo's Italian Villa.
