Agriculture futures end trading lower on CBOT

[August 24, 2008]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures traded lower Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery fell 31.75 cents to $8.655 a bushel; December corn slid 11 cents to $6.065 a bushel; December oats fell 12 cents to $3.84 a bushel; November soybeans dropped 21 cents to $13.27 a bushel.

Beef futures traded higher and pork futures traded lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle added 0.4 cent to $1.0185 cents a pound; August cattle gained 0.03 cent to $1.1285 a pound; October lean hogs slipped 1.02 cents to 73.75 cents a pound; February pork bellies dropped 1.35 cents to 97.22 cents a pound.
