Lincoln Youth Football 4th-grade Railers vs. Rochester

[August 25, 2008]  The fourth-grade Railers opened the regular season Saturday against the Rochester Rockets at Eaton Field, dropping a close game 13-12.

RestaurantBryson Kirby had two runs of 50-plus yards for the Railers’ two scores and had 168 yards total. Will Morris had 16 yards rushing, and Quentin Bone returned a kickoff 2 yards.

On the defensive side, Will Morris led the team with three tackles and three assists. Bryson Kirby, Nathan Podunajec, Quentin Bone and Conner Aeilts all had at least one tackle each and many assists. Robbie Gaston, Alex Linares, Drew Martin, Sam Houpt, Scottie Lessen and Nolan Hullinger had tackle assists.

The Railers will travel to Taylorville on Tuesday evening to play the Tornado team. Game time is 6 p.m.
