Logan County 4-H Foundation presents scholarships

[August 27, 2008]  The Logan County 4-H Foundation recently presented scholarships to six Logan County 4-H members at 4-H Night during the Logan County Fair.

Katie Conklen, daughter of Rod and Pam Conklen, received a $300 Xamis Foundation Scholarship. Katie, a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, currently attends St. Louis College of Pharmacy, working toward her degree in pharmacy.

Martin Oltmanns, son of Clark and Dana Oltmanns, received a $300 scholarship. Martin, a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, is currently a student at Augustana College, majoring in chemistry.

Elizabeth Brooks, daughter of Jeff and Geri Brooks, received a $300 Xamis Foundation Scholarship. Elizabeth, a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, is a student at the University of Illinois and is majoring in agricultural engineering.

Ben Buse, son of Bob and Kathy Buse, received a $300 Ross Conrady Memorial/Foundation Scholarship. Ben, a recent graduate of Lincoln Community High School, currently attends Lincoln College and plans to become a history teacher.

Adam Coers, son of Jim and Erin Coers, received a $300 4-H Foundation Scholarship. Adam, a recent graduate of Illini Central High School, is a freshman this fall at the University of Illinois, with plans to major in architecture.

Kelly Cross, daughter of Tom and Lori Cross, received a $300 Graue Inc.4-H Foundation Scholarship. Kelly, a recent Hartsburg-Emden High School graduate, attends Missouri University of Science & Technology and is majoring in architectural engineering and civil engineering.

Andy Lindgren, son of Jim and Diane Lindgren, received a $300 Graue Inc./4-H Foundation Scholarship. Andy, a recent Olympia High School graduate, is a freshman this fall at the University of Illinois, with plans to go into animal science, pre-veterinary medicine.
