This is an aerial view of the Rail Splitter Wind Farm in various stages of construction. All views are looking eastward at the northwest boundaries of the farm as it is being built in Tazewell County, just over the northern border of Logan County. Construction began in Logan County last week. Tazewell County will have 38 towers; Logan County 29 towers.

Four towers up, no blades; one tower being assembled.

Three completed standing towers, five sites prepped. Notice the lines on the ground between towers. These lines show where conduction power cables have been buried 3 to 4 feet below the ground.

Farms help show where regular roadways are located. Other ground lines indicate construction and maintenance access roadways to towers, and where conduction lines have been freshly buried underground.
