Agriculture futures fall on Chicago Board of Trade

[December 06, 2008]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell in midday trading Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

CivicWheat for March delivery lost 9 cents to $4.770 a bushel, while March corn dropped 11.5 cents to $3.225 a bushel and March oats shed 8 cents to $2.055 a bushel. January soybeans tumbled 16.5 cents to $7.945 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures mostly fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle shed 1.22 cents to 81.85 cents a pound, while January feeder cattle fell 1.6 cents to 86.50 cents a pound. February lean hogs added 0.15 cent to 63.80 cents a pound, but February pork bellies dropped 1.6 cents to 89.50 cents a pound.
