[December 09, 2008]  (AP)  Unemployment increased in 71 percent of the nation's cities and towns with at least 20,000 residents, from 2000 to 2005-2007. The 10 cities with the highest unemployment rates in 2005-2007:

Portsmouth, Ohio 19.7 92%
Pontiac, Mich. 19.0 84%
Lexington, N.C. 18.7 137%
