Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[December 11, 2008]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures advanced Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery rose 20 cents to $5.095 a bushel; March corn gained 14.25 cents to $3.42 a bushel; March oats rose 2 cents to $2.10 a bushel; and January soybeans advanced 16.5 cents to $8.295 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures also traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle rose 1.53 cents to 83.8 cents a pound; January feeder cattle edged up 0.8 cent to 87.35 cents a pound; February lean hogs gained 1 cent to 63.12 cents a pound; and February pork bellies rose 3 cents to 84.5 cents a pound.
