[December 11, 2008]  McLEAN -- Mary M. Fox, 90, of McLean, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at 9:17 a.m. at Heartland Health Care Center in Normal.

A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Fox will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Atlanta, with the Rev. Jeffrey G. Laible officiating.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Prior to the visitation on Sunday, there will be a rosary service at 3:45.

Burial will be in McLean Cemetery, rural McLean.

Mrs. Fox retired from McLean Grade School after teaching for 26 years.

Mary Margaret Fox was born May 24, 1918, in Odell to Frank and Theodosia Murphy Noonan. She married Louis Fox on May 3, 1939, in Odell.

She is survived by her husband; her children, Mary Lou Wilkins of McLean, Joseph (and Sally) Fox of Longwood, Fla., Rose Ann (and Russel) Craig of Waynesville, John (and Susan) Fox of Downs and Catherine (and Gene) Cisco of Waynesville; two brothers, Jim (and Millie) Noonan of Harlingen, Texas, and John Noonan of Lyndon, Texas; one sister, Fran (and Dave) Dixon of Odell; 13 grandchildren, Mark, Greg, Bill and Kevin Wilkins, Staci Stemley, Brett Fox, Susan Craig, Beth Tucker, Denver, Levi and Logan Fox, Ryan Cisco, and Amy Prestegaard; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and one grandson.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Atlanta, the Altar and Rosary Society of the church, Illinois Education Association and Illinois Retired Teachers Association.

Funeral Director

She graduated from St. Paul's Catholic School in Odell, where she was the valedictorian of her class. She then graduated from Illinois State Normal University.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Atlanta.
