Agriculture futures fall on Chicago BOT

[December 16, 2008]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures rose in midday trading Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

DonutsWheat for March delivery climbed 18 cents to $5.310 a bushel, while March corn jumped 16 cents to $3.895 a bushel and March oats added 4.5 cents to $2.180 a bushel. January soybeans leaped 16.5 cents to $8.705 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures traded mostly higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle rose 0.15 cent to 82.95 cents a pound, while January feeder cattle slid 0.22 cent to 86.95 cents a pound. February lean hogs traded up 0.23 cent to 62.50 cents a pound, and February pork bellies added 0.60 cent to 81.80 cents a pound.
