[December 16, 2008]  The YMCA has been accepting registrations for the upcoming YMCA Girls Basketball program. This program is designed to improve upon the girls' existing basketball skills while also learning about teamwork, sportsmanship, and of course, having fun. This league is open to all girls 1st – 6th grade. Registration will continue until December 23rd. The cost of this program is $40 for new participants and $35 for those returning from last year. After December 23rd fees will increase by $10, so please sign up your daughter today! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the YMCA Office at 735-3915.

The Lincoln Community High School Band
will be presenting their Christmas
Concert on Thursday, December 18, 7:30 p.m. at the high school. The concert
is free and open to the public. The band is under the direction of David Swaar.



 

Medical


Christian Child Care is having their first Christmas concert at the Jefferson Street Christian Church 1700 N. Jefferson on Thursday, Dec. 18. The time is 6:30 pm and the public is invited to attend.


First United Methodist Church of Lincoln, 302 Broadway St. in Lincoln is having a cookie walk and gift wrapping fundraiser on Saturday, December 20 between 8:00-11:00 am. Hosted by the church's accessibility committee.

Proceeds will go toward an elevator fund for handicapped access at the church. Come early for the best selection of delicious homemade cookies and candies. Cost is per pound. Holiday gift wrapping will also be available during the hours of the cookie walk. Donations accepted. The public is invited.


The Lincoln Area Music Society Chorale and Orchestra will present their free Winter Concert at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 21. The concert will be at the Lincoln Community High School and the public is invited to attend.
