Send a link to a friend

[December 23, 2008]  A winter weather advisory remains in effect until noon Wednesday.

RestaurantLight snow will overspread the area this morning, mixing with or changing to sleet and freezing rain this evening. This sleet and freezing rain mixture is expected to continue through the night and not change to rain until late Wednesday morning when temperatures finally rise above freezing. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are possible, while total ice accumulations are expected to range from one-tenth to one-quarter of an inch, with the heaviest amounts being in east-central Illinois.

A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
