Woman slips out of cuffs and allegedly kicks cops

[December 31, 2008]  CONCORD, N.H. (AP) -- A Goffstown, N.H., woman slipped out of a pair of handcuffs and kicked two officers after being arrested on a drunken driving charge.

The 47-year-old woman was charged on Monday after rear-ending another car around 4:30 p.m.

Police said that while the woman was in custody, she somehow freed herself from the handcuffs and tried to flee. When police went to restrain her, the woman allegedly kicked the two officers. Neither officer was hurt.

The woman was also charged with two counts of assault on a police officer, attempting escape and having an open container in her vehicle.
