[February 06, 2008]  The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a small stream flood advisory for eastern Logan County and southeastern DeWitt County until 6:15 a.m. Thursday.

The combination of heavy rainfall over the past several days and the rapid melting of snow has led to significant rises at Clinton Lake. This may lead to significant rises along Salt Creek due to water being released from the dam site.

Locations affected include Clinton, Beason, Chestnut, Kenney, Hallsville, Midland City, Rowell and Weldon Springs State Park.

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated or ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Report any flooding to your local emergency manager or the nearest law enforcement agency for relay to the National Weather Service.
