At 7:37 a.m. emergency management officials reported that flooding
was continuing due to snowmelt and earlier heavy rain. The flooding
was reported at several locations, including the Lincoln Lakes area
and Lawndale. Several roads remain impassable due to water over the
road. River gauges along Salt Creek indicate that the creek
continues to rise, though more slowly than Wednesday night
Flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warned area,
move to higher ground immediately. Residents living along creeks and
streams should take immediate precautions to protect life and
property. Do not attempt to cross swiftly flowing waters or waters
of unknown depth by foot or automobile.
Report any flooding to your local emergency manager or the
nearest law enforcement agency for relay to the National Weather

The National Weather Service in Lincoln has also issued a small
stream flood advisory for eastern Logan County and southwestern
DeWitt County until 6:15 p.m. Thursday.
The combination of heavy rainfall over the past several days and
rapid melting of snow has led to significant rises at Clinton Lake.
This may lead to significant rises along Salt Creek due to water
being released from the dam site
Locations affected include Clinton, Beason, Chestnut, Kenney,
Hallsville, Midland City, Rowell and Weldon Springs State Park.
A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.

Service.
