[February 21, 2008]  WHEATON (AP) -- A man has been found guilty of killing four of his family members in suburban Chicago.

A DuPage County prosecutor's office spokesman says the jury deliberated for three hours Wednesday before finding Eric Hanson guilty on all counts.

The jury is expected to return Thursday to begin hearing testimony in the death penalty eligibility phase of the trial.

Prosecutors say the 31-year-old killed his parents, his sister and her husband to hide the fact he stole more than $80,000 through forged checks and credit cards. The bodies were discovered in September 2005.

A message left for his public defender after business hours was not immediately returned.
