The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a winter weather
advisory...which is in effect until 6pm CST Friday.

A couple of waves of wintry precipitation are expected from
this afternoon through Friday. Snow could mix with or change
to sleet by this evening. An inch or two of snow and sleet
may accumulate before the precipitation diminishes toward
midnight. A period of Snow and sleet is likely Friday. Snow
and sleet accumulation of 2 to 4 inches is expected by sunset
Friday from the storm. At this time it appears the heaviest
snow and sleet totals will extend from I-72 south.

The exact placement of heaviest sleet and snow may change
slightly as the event evolves. Remain alert for any updates
to get the latest information about the expected amounts of
snow and sleet.

A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet,
or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared
for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution
while driving.
