Fontbonne Defeats Preachers and Angels

Preachers

The Fontbonne University Griffins handed the Preachers of Lincoln Christian College an 102-71 defeat Saturday.

The 8-18 Preachers were able to place three players in double figures, led by Jon Wallace with 20 points and nine rebounds, Matt Searby with 11 points and Josiah Brock 10 points.

The Griffins had four players in double figures: Patrick McCoy and Josh Branch with 25 each, Brian Fogerty 15 and Justin Storandt with 10. Fontbonne had a total of 10 different players score.

The Preachers also lost the battle on the boards, being outrebounded 48-38.

LCC will play at Eureka College on Tuesday.

Angels

The LCC Angels lost 100-57 to Fontbonne University on Saturday.

The Angels were unable to match the depth of the Griffins, who placed 15 different players in the scoring column, led by Heather McAllister with 15 points.

All eight of the Angels did score, led by Emma Hanford's 17 points and Tasha Brown's 10.

The Angels were able to hit only one out of nine 3-point attempts.

The 2-25 Angels will be in action Tuesday at Eureka College.
