Logan County Health Department's chief
communicable disease nurse, Mary Anderson, has just released a
report of the number of lab-confirmed influenza cases so far this
season.
|
From Dec. 12, 2007, through Feb. 22, 2008, 177 cases have been
reported. Of those confirmations, 93 percent were A strain. The
remaining 13 cases, or 7 percent, were B strain.
The youngest person affected was 20 days old. The oldest was 95
years old.
Below is a breakdown by age and number of the cases.
It shows more young as having the flu, but it may just be that
more young people were brought in for testing.
