Zion lost to Mattoon St. John 18-12 but defeated the Jacksonville
Big Shots 18-13 and won the final match with Triopia 19-18.
The Mount Pulaski team was comprised of one eighth-grader, Kelsey
Griesheim, and five seventh-graders: Rachel Allen, Shanyn Gibbs,
Allison Hickey, Sylvia Klumpp and Elyse McCormick. Several
fifth-graders were also able to join the team: Elizabeth Allen,
Shelby Young, Kelsey Wilham and Sammy Morris.
The fifth-graders also played several junior varsity games along
with third-graders Kourtney Wilham and Ashlyn Hickey.
Varsity coach Ralph Allen was assisted by David Gibbs.
