[January 10, 2008]  SPRINGFIELD -- The following statement from Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich was released Wednesday regarding House passage of the "Saviano plan," Senate Bill 307, by a 66-49 vote:

"I thank the House of Representatives for passing the bill I asked them to pass that provides long-term funding for the CTA without raising taxes on people. We're one step closer to making sure transit riders will be spared from devastating service cuts and fare increases on Jan. 20."
