MOUNTAIN BIKES 

Cannondale Bicycle Corporation is recalling Cannondale 2008 model year "Scalpel" mountain bikes sold nationwide from October 2007 to December 2007. The frame can break while in use, causing the rider to lose control and suffer injuries from a fall or collision. 

The 2008 model year Scalpel is a cross-country racing mountain bike, made from carbon fiber and aluminum. They were sold in Black/White, Blue/Black and Black. The recall includes the following models:

TRAILER BICYCLES 

Pacific Cycle Inc. is recalling InStep "Pathfinder," Schwinn "Run About," and Mongoose "Alley Cat" Trailer Bicycles sold nationwide from January 2007 to August 2007. The coupler connecting the children's trailer bike to the adult's bicycle has welds that can fail, posing a fall hazard to children. 

The "Pathfinder," "Run About," and "Alley Cat" are single-wheeled, children's bicycles that connect to an adult's bicycle by a coupler. The recall includes model numbers: 12-PF250, 13-SC250, 13-SC350 and M5101. The model number is located on the lower seat tube of the frame.

DIGITAL TIMERS 

Intermatic Inc. is recalling Intermatic DT27 Digital Self-Adjusting Timers sold nationwide from February 2007 to December 2007. The recalled timers could have been wired incorrectly, which poses an electrical shock hazard. 

This recall involves the Intermatic DT27 digital self-adjusting timer with a date code of "04B." This product is a lamp and appliance timer and is packaged as either the "DT27C Heavy Duty Digital Timer" or the "DT27CL Time All® Digital Lamp and Appliance Self-Adjusting Timer." The timer is white with a rounded top, and measures 3 7/8" tall by 2 3/4" wide by 1 5/8" deep. The brand name "Intermatic" is molded on the front of the timer, and the model number ("DT27") and date code ("04B") are printed on the back of the timer.

HONDA'S ATVS 

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is recalling Model Year 2007 Honda TRX 500 ATVs sold nationwide from June 2006 to December 2007. Water can enter the throttle position sensor and freeze, causing permanent damage if the rider forces the throttle lever. This could cause the throttle to stick open, posing a risk of injury or death to riders. 

This recall involves Model Year 2007 Honda TRX 500 ATVs, also known as the Honda Foreman and Foreman Rubicon. The adult-size ATVs are designed for use by riders age 16 and older. The 2007 model year ATVs are available in red, black, blue, olive, and camouflage. The Honda name and wing logo are printed on the fuel tank and the model name is printed on the side panel just below the seat. 

Consumers should contact any Honda ATV dealer to schedule a free repair.

LAMPS SOLD AT LOWE'S 

L G Sourcing Inc. is recalling Portfolio Incandescent Torchiere Lamps sold nationwide exclusively at Lowe's stores from March 2005 to October 2007. A short circuit in the lamps' wiring can pose a fire hazard.

The recalled lamp has a black steel frame and a bowl-shaped light fixture. The item number 179878 is printed on the packaging and the bottom of the base of the lamp. Only lamps sold between March 2005 and October 2007 with UL listing number E246506 are included in the recall. Lamps marked "ETL listed" are not included in the recall.

Consumers should return the lamp to any Lowe's retail outlet to receive a refund.

EXHAUST FAN MOTORS 

A.O. Smith Electrical Products is recalling Whole-house Exhaust Fan Electric Motors sold nationwide from February 2007 to November 2007. The fan's electric motor can be miswired and overheat, posing a fire hazard. 

The recalled electric motor is part of a residential whole-house exhaust fan that is typically mounted on the floor of an attic. The motors were included with exhaust fans manufactured and distributed by Air Vent Inc. and Triangle Engineering of Arkansas Inc. "A.O. Smith," the model number, and the service date code are printed on the rating plate of the motor. The recall includes model numbers S56A30A54 and S56A30A97, and service date codes 032076M – 334076M, 03207JY – 33407JY, and YB07 – YL07.

PACIFIERS 

Shims Bargain Inc. is recalling "BabyTown" Pacifiers sold nationwide from March 2004 to December 2007. These pacifiers fail to meet federal safety standards for pacifiers. The pacifier shield is too small and could easily enter the mouth of an infant. 

The recalled pacifiers were sold in a 4-pack of assorted colors. "BabyTown" and model #39864 are written on the product's packaging. 

Consumers should return the pacifiers to the store where purchased for a full refund.

TINKER BELL LAMPS 

Kash N' Gold Ltd. is recalling Tinker Bell Novelty Lamps sold nationwide from January 2007 to October 2007. The surface paint on the lamps contains excessive levels of lead. 

The recalled Tinker Bell lamp has model "Tinker Bell Lamp" printed on the bottom of the lamp. The lamp has a sculpted Tinker Bell in a flower garden with an animation of Tinker Bell swaying back and forth while music plays when the light switch or demo button is depressed. 

Consumers should return the lamps to the store where purchased for a refund or contact Kash N' Gold at (800) 354-8785 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m Monday through Friday to receive a Kash N' Gold merchandise credit or visit www.kngamerica.com. More info at www.recalls.org

FISH COIN BANKS 

TJ Promotions is recalling Fish Coin Banks provided as a free gift in North Carolina from February 2006 to September 2007. Surface paint on the coin banks contains excessive levels of lead. 

This recall involves coin banks made of plaster that are shaped as a fish. The coin banks are orange with white stripes. The coin banks were provided as a free gift to Coastal Federal Credit Union members in North Carolina. 

Consumers should return the bank to where it was received for a free replacement as soon as one is available.
