[January 15, 2008]  Sharon Baker of Lincoln has been named the 2007 Employee of the Year at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Baker joined the ALMH team as an environmental service technician in January 2003 after enjoying a 20-year career at Lincoln Developmental Center.

She primarily works in the emergency room and first floor waiting areas. She cleans and disinfects each treatment area, keeps the public areas tidy and shiny, and does whatever she can to make patients and guests feel more comfortable.

Co-workers nominated Baker for the hard work she does every day without complaint: "When Sharon is asked to do something outside of her regular duties, she does it without fail and never says that is not her job. She works with a smile, offers caring words for patients and co-workers, and treats everyone as a valuable friend."

ALMH President and CEO Dolan Dalpoas added, "Sharon Baker is an extremely valuable employee who routinely goes above and beyond the call of duty. She truly deserves this award."
