Museum visitors will be able to meet actresses portraying Mary Todd Lincoln and Elizabeth Keckly on Feb. 9 in the museum plaza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Paid admission to the museum is required. Keckly, an African-American, was Mrs. Lincoln's personal dressmaker, best friend and confidante. Then, at 2 p.m., there will be a formal tea with the Elizabeth Keckly portrayer at the presidential library. Tickets for the tea are $35 each and must be purchased in advance at www.alplm.org or 217-558-8934. The event will feature tea, savories and cakes.
