Co-workers say: "Sue makes
sure that the patient comes first. She double-checks diet
restrictions, medications and other orders to make sure everything
is correct when it comes to the patient's meals. Sue is an excellent
co-worker because she is more than willing to do more then her share
and to assist in any way. Her hard work makes the jobs of others
easier."
She enjoys providing great patient care, as well as working with
fellow employees, and says that they are "like my extended family."
She says that during her 34 years at ALMH, the biggest change has
been the number of inpatients cared for every night. "We used to
have over 100 patients staying in the hospital when I began, and now
there are usually less than 20 a day," she said. "Today, we take
care of more patients, but as outpatients."
ALMH employs more than 250 in a wide variety of job functions. A
different employee is honored each month for their commitment to
creating great patient experiences, getting great results and making
ALMH a great place to work.
