[January 28, 2008]  (AP) Forecasters predicted more rain and snow in the West on Monday, while rain was expected in the Great Lakes region and snow was expected in Massachusetts and eastern Maine.

Snow levels were expected to drop in the Western interior, but more than 4 feet was expected in the Rockies.

Portions of the Wasatch Front Range in Utah were forecast to receive more than 4 feet of snow, and Colorado, Idaho and Montana were also expected to get some healthy snowfall amounts.

The southern Plains were expected to be dry.

East of the Rockies, rain was expected in Michigan. Snow showers were expected across eastern Massachusetts and eastern Maine, with a few more inches possible along the coast.

Temperatures in the Lower 48 states Sunday ranged from a low of minus 25 degrees at Presque Isle, Maine to a high of 79 degrees at Marathon, Fla.
