To the editor:
I first met Mike McIntosh eight years ago. I have had the
privilege of coaching his sons, Reid and Kenton, in summer league
baseball. Unfortunately, several players on teams that I have
coached have no one in the stands to watch them play in the game.
Never was that the case with Reid or Kenton: Mike and his wife,
Penny, are devoted parents.
He and his family are faithful members of Jefferson Street
Christian Church. I have watched Mike and his family become
increasingly more involved in the life and ministry of JSCC during
the time I have been in Lincoln. Mike was recently selected by our
congregation to serve as a deacon. He and his sons are very active
in our guest relations ministry, welcoming people to our building
most weekends. I have been encouraged by the ways in which I have
seen Mike grow as a responsible member of our congregation.
Mike McIntosh is a man of character and integrity. Based on my
personal relationship with him, I am confident that, as state's
attorney, Mike McIntosh will make decisions that are in the best
interest of family, church, the city of Lincoln and Logan County.
Sincerely,
Craig J. Smith, minister
Jefferson Street Christian Church
