King Cast in 'Sweetest Swing in Baseball' at Lincoln College

[January 31, 2008]  Lincoln College freshman Nate King of Lincoln has been cast in the upcoming performance of "Sweetest Swing in Baseball," by Rebecca Gilman. He will play the role of Michael. The drama is the first performance of the spring season and will be directed by Chris Gray, Lincoln College Theatre Department chairman. The production starts Feb. 28 at the Johnston Center for Performing Arts on the college campus.

King is a 2006 graduate of Lincoln Community High School. He is active with the Lincoln College Theatre Department and has been seen in "Of Mice and Men" and "Man of LaMancha." He is the son of Gail and Allen King of Lincoln.

Showtime is at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28, 29 and March 1, with a matinee performance at 2 p.m. March 2. Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $3 for children and senior citizens. To reserve tickets, call 217-732-3155, ext. 280, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
