Last year's fair queen and the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors opened the 2008 Logan County Fair on Tuesday morning with "fanfair."

The animals were ready.  In fact, these browns were so relaxed they were just lying around chewing their cud.

The midway was decked out, the vendors were ready, and the rides were waiting for the opening-night crowds to descend.

Colorful displays provide the pitch for the food vendors hawking fair food delights.

Local organizations and businesses were set to give out information.

The Ferris wheel stands silent waiting for the amusements to begin. Bad weather prevented the amusement park from opening on Tuesday.

The big pigs got in a last-minute cuddle.

These sheep are all dressed up with nowhere to go. Thesy have donned outfits to keep them presentable until the sheep competition.
